You want to be very careful when making any measurement with a scope. Make sure the scope is properly grounded and it shares the same ground with the circuit you're measuring, otherwise you'll risk of damaging both the scope and your PC. Try not to connect the scope to a power strip, this might isolate the scope from earth ground. Since you'll be dealing with IC circuit, you want to ground yourself by using a grounding strap to prevent damges to your IC components. One last thing, make sure to use the right Probes' class='regSlim'>probes to reduce and minimize circuit loading & improve accurracy of your measurements. Good luck! |
